Happy New Year!

I can't believe it has been almost two months since I have posted anything.
I can see that it will take me a while to get in the habit of doing this.
I have enjoyed all of the Christmas and New Years posts on my favorite blogs.

This Christmas found our entire family in Fort Worth, Texas.
Our 2nd son Tyler, his wife Rachel and our two grandsons Austin and Blake live there.
Rachel is a week overdue with grandson #3.  He will be here soon because the doc says he won't let her go past tomorrow.  Yippee!

Our oldest son Chris and his wife Janelle, our son Chandler and his wife Devrey, son Spencer daughter Amanda, Richard and I all made our way to Texas.
It was the first time in several years that we were together for Christmas and as you can tell from this New Year's Eve picture we had a blast.

Photo: Christmas 2013!!
The weather was wonderful so the guys got in a lot of disc golf.
They were able to go most every day to 5 different courses in the area.

The girls would stop by the park for a hole or two but spent most of our time baking, cooking, crocheting, knitting watching a chick flick or playing some card games.  So much fun!

I enjoyed lots of reading time with Austin and Blake.  That was one of the few times these guys slowed down!  They are busy, busy, busy but oh so FUN!  I do miss them.

I didn't finish my customer quilts until December 12th.  I really wanted to be done by the first but it just didn't happen.  I have such awesome customers that do beautiful work.  I love my job/hobby!
Here's a quilt that I quilted for Janae.  It was a very fun Christmas quilt!

Susan made these samples for our local quilt shop and I quilted them.  I went to the shop to take a picture of them finished and they were nowhere to be found.  When I asked about them I was told that Susan took them home because they sold out of the fabric!  Lucky for me I was able to go to Susan's home and take a few pictures.  I think they look great on her bed.

Here's another shop sample that Susan did.  She used crayons for the coloring in the center.
This picture doesn't do it justice.

Even though there was a sign that said "Please don't touch" shoppers just couldn't help themselves.
Her shading of colors was wonderful and her stitching is beautiful.
I am working on my photography skills, I promise.

I have one more quilt to show you.
Susan was able to get one of her own quilts done.
This beautiful bird quilt.

I really need to post more often and then the posts won't be so long.

I have lists in my head of all that I want to accomplish this year.  I'm slowly writing them down.
Our normal two week Christmas break ended up being three due to snow
so I feel like I am just getting started.

We are excited for our new grandson that will arrive any day
and our first granddaughter will come in mid April.

I hope this New Year finds you healthy and happy.
Thanks for stopping by.

 Happy Quilting!
